Sunday, September 11, 2016, 3-5pm:
Guest instructor Fred Lawson will teach us to weave market baskets (limited to 10 for this style) or similar bread baskets without a handle (also limited in number).
Kits are $10.
Please RSVP to Johanna (baronessjohanna AT yahoo.com) by 9/4 if you plan to attend and would like to purchase the kit.
Useful tools to bring include:
A measuring tape
A pencil
T or angle square
A flathead/common screwdriver (this is used to open up woven stuff to tuck in weavers, so it should be a solid, midsized screwdriver)
Heavy duty scissors or shears
Wooden spring clothes pins
Towel (you wet the reed to work with it, so there’s a bit of water flicking around)

*Following the meeting, at 5pm there will be a casual potluck. Please do not bring any pork products.

Meeting is at 94 Laurelwood Drive, Carlisle, MA (same location as baronial archery and thrown weapons practices).
All are welcome. Wear modern clothing, you don’t need garb to attend.
